New Jersey Balloon Festival 2011 – Photography on Location

The Balloon Festival at the Warren County Farmers' Fair in Warren County New Jersey alone is worth the trip! If you have never experienced the thrill of watching a bevy of colorful hot air balloons majestically rise from green pasture to blue sky, you can't imagine what you're missing.

  • Safari/Workshop: The Safari begins with a 45-minute wide-angle photography orientation and giving you tips in basic wide-angle photography. Day workshop beginning, Understanding Wide Angle Lenses, understanding light, point of view, composition, knowing and experimenting with your lens and more.

    Learn how to take great pictures BEFORE you go and take hot air balloon photography, ability to capture light and make extraordinary images from ordinary subjects is truly a gift, combination of traditional and innovated techniques have been instrumental in your success.

    Students may work in digital media or film (black-and-white or color). All formats are welcome. Open to any photographer at any skill level with any camera, film or digital. No tripod needed.

  • Starts promptly at 5:00pm. Meet at the entrance of Warren County Farmers’ Fair, NJ. The safari / workshop ends at Warren County Farmers’ Fair. NJ.

    Sunday July 31 and Saturday, August 6, 2011. Balloon Launch – 6:30 PM. 30-35 Hot Air Balloons take to the sky at 6:30 pm, you won't want to miss this spectacular event. PLEASE NOTE that balloon activity occurs later in the day, when the winds are most calm. All balloon activity weather permitting.

  • Safari: Limited to 12 people (car pool can be arrange)

Note: Proceeds (fee) will go directly towards helping the white-clad widows, the forbidden “out-caste” and the untouchable eunuchs, shunned as members of the “third sex” by the Indian society. All collected money will be donated to a non-profit organization consisting of volunteers interested in dedicating their expertise and time to fight a wide variety of social injustices in India.
